Functional Threshold Power (FTP) is the maximum average wattage that an athlete can sustain for a 1-hour effort. By doing an FTP test an athlete can measure performances over the year and it will help establish new zones such as HR and Power. FTP should be tested on a average to regular basis both on and off season to assess you overall improvement and refreshed power zones.

In this initial 2 HR on the road clinic you will improve your climbing without question. Learn how to be an efficient climber and a good descender! Bring your feet to the bike and your bike to the climbs, master the technique and learn the same methods and skills as the Pro’s do. You will learn about cadence, power and positioning as well as aerobic management, and all the tips and tricks to climbing. This clinic is designed for the rider that wants to improve their ability and strength to traverse the climbs. Its not just for the competitor, but for the cycling enthusiast that want to be better on the road. Maybe your training for a Fondo, or maybe you just want that satisfaction of feeling strong on the road, this is the clinic for you. There is only a maximum of 3 riders per clinic so you will get the maximum attention
Because climbing isn’t learnt in 2 hrs on the road, once you complete the initial 2 HR introduction, you can continue to come and learn the skills it takes to be a strong climber for only $35 per session
This 3 class session with homework, gives the rider real time feedback and correction to become an efficient peddler. We start you off in the shop where we take a look at your shoes, cleat position and bends. In the second session, we look at rotation and movement and in the third session, we head to the road to put it all into practice (approx 45min).
By having good pedal proficiency enhances and perfects your performance for hills, sprints, and endurance cycling? If you want to be a better rider, become more efficient with your pedaling. This is a great class to take and you will feel the improvement straight away!
